Welcome to Catholicnetlinks. My name is George Matwijec.  I hope you enjoy the listings and find the information useful. 

I began this website as a response to wasted hours spent clicking on links that are not exactly what I was looking for. And with a slow modem, this can be frustrating.  Having had this experience searching for faith related issues, I decided to make a Catholic directory that hopefully will alleviate some of this  situation.  This web directory  has the following  five characteristics:

 1) I have gathered together  links that are universal in scope. 

2) I have attempted to give a brief description of the links so that you know what you are clicking on. Sometimes the links are quite self explanatory and need no description. 

3) I have also attempted to make the website visually appealing. 

4) To the best of my understanding I have placed websites that are related to our Catholic faith.  Being a laymen I don't pretend to have the authority of defining what is and what is not "Catholic". However, I think that in general terms it is not hard to figure out.  The Vatican Website is Catholic - this is a no brainer! 

Some sights I have included are definitely secular in nature. I have included them for research purposes.  For example, if I am doing a study on poverty or human rights abuse - I have included the links for the UN and Amnesty international. That way you can refer to those sights for important statistics that you may need. Certainly these sights may not be Catholic - however, their statistics are still useful and pertinent information that can be incorporated into your research.
